About My Rookie Card

It started with my son.

After 30 years of collecting cards — chasing rookies, hunting limited editions, building sets — my son looked up at me one day and asked: "Dad, can you make me my own card?"

So I did. A quick Photoshop, a print, nothing fancy. But the reaction it got stopped me in my tracks. Friends and family kept saying the same thing — the style, the design, the feel of it was something special. That moment planted a seed.

Over time, that one card turned into a craft. I studied what made the great cards great — the composition, the colour, the way a good design makes you feel like you're holding a piece of history. I experimented with materials, learned what belonged in a binder and what deserved to sit on a shelf, and worked out how to present a card in a way that genuinely looks at home in someone's house.

Today, My Rookie Card is what happens when a lifelong collector decides to make something worth keeping.
